I thought the US consulate at Shenyang was the easiest one to get a visa, but....

Questions that my parents were asked:
1. Why has your son not been back for six years?
2. Is your son married? Does he have a child?

I guess the reasons for not issuing visas are:
1. Last time I went back to China was Dec. 2000. It has been six years since then.
2. My wife and I have a two months old baby.

Please let me know how these questions should be answered? Your comments or suggestions are really appreciated.
