URGENT Original H1B Approval Notice
Is there anyone got asked for the original H1B approval notice by V.O. when applying for H1B visa?
I only have copy and my employer could not find the original H1B approval notice. My flight ticket is this Friday and I have been stuggling whether to cancel my trip.
Thanks a ton if you can share your H1 experience.

No, the lawyer does not have it and she is strongly against going back without original H1 approval notice.

yes you need original copy of I797.
It is said you can contact INS to get a duplicated copy of I797. But it does take some time.
Your Lawyer should have known how to get it, right?

Now the lawyer is inquiring if a certified copy with an affidavit executed by her will suffice. There is no response from consulate yet.

I used the Lawyer certified copy of I-797 and get visa issued yesterday.
The visa officer read carefully a letter prepared by the lawyer but gave me the visa anyway.
