Interviewed on Nov.7, the vo just wanna check me.
First question: oh, you are studying chemistry, is your research related to genetic, protrein, blabla.
I said no and explained my research. Then he said he needed to ask someone else.
Then he returned and said" sorry, I have to check you"
DC cleared my case on Nov. 30, but I still did not get any email from shanghai consulate.

Got checked. My wife calls the DOS everyday since 12/4. Everytime the answer is the same: pending. Anybody around 11/13 got their check cleared?

This morning(Dec.6, 2006) I went to the US embassy in Beijing to apply for H-1B visa. But things were not going as well as I wished. The below is the conversation with the Visa Officer (VO). Not exactly:
Me: How are you doing today?
VO: Good. How are you?
Me: Good.
VO: So you are working in the US.
Me: Yes. I work for xxx
VO: Can you tell me what you do there?

My mom's visa.
Had previously visited US twice, never extend the stay for more than 6 months. This time got the 1 year multiple entry visa. She said there were only 2 simple questions during the interview, and in the end, the officer told her never to extend her stay for more than 6 months.
