签证经历

Pretty simple while it took a bit long since the computer got problem and I got my finger prints scanned twice.

有没有人是12月29号左右签证,被check,现在材料还没到华盛顿的呀?极度郁闷中........

My parents came to US and stayed for about 9 months and 8 months in 2000 and 2002, respectively. They got their B2 visa today. The VO only looked at their old passports and approval of extension letters, and did not ask any questions.

妈妈说，签她的签证官是个女的。先看了我的邀请信，看的很认真。（我妈说，她觉得
我的邀请信起了很大作用）
然后就问了2个问题。“你的女婿叫什么名字？”，“你有几个孩子？”
然后要求看女儿的签证材料。 然后签证官一边看一直敲电脑。
我妈妈问签证官，“要不要看我的房产证？”
回答，“不要”。
我妈又问，“要不要看照片？”
回答，“不要”。
告之，“你过了”。

12月20日签证被要求补交材料。12月23日将所有材料传真到上海领馆，没有收到任何回复。现在每天都由妻子打电话到华盛顿检查进展情况，都是“in the process”,完全没有消息! 我苦啊!

等待是遥遥无期的，心情是郁闷的，感觉要杀人的！

今天是去签B2，到纽约去看女朋友，约的是12：45，结束的时候差不多1点半了吧
先说说今天的等待过程吧，一句话概括就是非常不顺利。
按照版上提示，到了大厅等待叫号，然后走到武警前，武警检查护照问：“什么时间？”我说12：45的，就看他在名单里面找啊找啊，找了足有5分钟，我晕，当时觉得，不会是预约的时候听错时间了吧，结果待会终于找到了我的名字，说你是12：15的。不过我记得特别清楚，因为当时预约以后就直接记到小本本上了。不管怎么说过了一关吧。

My parents went to interview at shanghai consulate yesterday. the VO is about 50-year-old lady. She asked my dad the following questions.

1. what does your daughter do in US

pretty easy.

Too easy!
VO did not ask any question. He(she) read my invitation letter (in which I said that 100% visiting parents I know here returned back to China) and some pictures of my family. Then he said: you are passed!
