出国6年半,第一次回国,第一次签H1B,2008年10生效的H1B,BIG FOUR ACCOUNTING FIRM TAX CONSULTING.签证的时候就交了I797原件,护照,和签证申请表格.什么问题都没有问,问我要了RESUME和EMPLOYMENT VERIFICATION LETTER.然后跟我说,签证没有问题,但是要CHECK, TAKES ABOUT ONE WEEK, THEN WE WILL MAIL THE VISA TO YOU.收走了RESUME AND EMPLOYMENT VERIFICATION LETTER AND PASSPORT,还给我了I797原件.
请问有没有和我类似的情况的朋友?我不是敏感专业,按理说不太会BACKGROUND CHECK吧,如果是PIMS CHECK,我是2008年10月的H1B,还有签证官说TAKES ABOUT ONE WEEK,什么样的CHECK只要ONE WEEK呢? 请大家指教,谢谢!

我是12月7号在北京签的，背景跟你类似，VO跟我说your information is not in the system, we need to verify, it will take a week or so。但是现在已经2个多星期了，我快急疯了，但是还是没有任何消息。

It's nothing to do with your background. It's all about PIMS check. You all should have done PIMS verification before the interview.

我也是说要one week，我问了他说是PIMS check。然后现在一个星期了，也没回音。。。我是上海签的，有人知道怎么联系他们吗？

Contact them via email (you won't never be able to get through via phone call). Go to the website of U.S. Consulate General Shanghai and try to find email address of the Visa division. Sorry, I only have the email address of Shenyang's consulate. From what I experienced before, email is the best and quickest way to get any answers from them.

请问在什么情况下需要走PIMS的程序？我今年6月在反签了H1B，肯定没有 走 PIMS，才 2天就收到护照了。现在12月份 再次反签H1B，到现在已经1周了，还是没有消息，会不会是被PIMS了？在什么情况下会走 PIMS呢 ？请 知道的同学解释一下吧，非常感谢。
