签证经历

Very strange experience...

After the interview, my mother was informed by the VO that her application has been approved. However, 10 days later, nobody knows where her passport and visa are. So, I sent an inquiry email to shenyangniv@state.gov. They replied one day later (see below). I didn't know that B2 visas are also subject to background check. Anyone had similar experience?

since this is not my first time, it's very easy. It's the black MM. She only asked me three questions:
1. why are you applying your visa in beijing this time?
2. where did you apply your visa last time? (Malaysia) Why did you apply it there?
3. what does your company do?

before I finished my answer, she passed me the approval note.

经过快两个月的check,终于完成了.

几乎没怎么问问题，光是看了邀请信，我的护照和签证，问我爸妈去美国哪里。然后就撕条了：）

签证官问了3个问题（问答均为英文）：1。我准备去哪家公司工作（回答去我们公司的北美分公司）；2。那家公司的总部在哪里（回答San Mateo, California）；3。为什么选我去（递上简历、I-129等材料）。

Pass。

我和老公是j2 J1在美国转成H1，这次回国第一次签H1，想着被审查的可能性很大，谁知除了797其他什么都没看。但J1的豁免信很重要，老公出示了之后很快过了。接着是我，我J2她也要看豁免信，我说因为我是dependent没有单独的豁免信，老公豁免我就豁免，我在美国国内申请H1时只要了老公的豁免信就批了，她却说我需要单独的，否则不能给我签证，我跟她争执起来，说J2是随着J1的，她跑到后面问了2次，后来拿着我的797表说因为homeland security批准了，所以应该可以给我签证。第2天邮局自取到了，整个还算顺利。

I was denied when I was in middle school with full financial assistance from school.
I was denied in F1 and F2.
I used my 2nd passport, and denial stamp also on it too.
I got my 1st F-1.
I got more F1 for almost 1-2 years.
This is my 1st H1.
No check, no question, VO not even looked at my documents.

that's our talks. very easy, just feel it is totally different from what was three years ago.

10点半的预约，12点多才出来。
VO非常NICE，问了我什么时候去的美国（2000年），回来几次（我回去3次），再问了我父母做什么工作，又要照片看，看了近期的照片，又要小时候，中学的照片。然后就签了，非常容易。父母准备的材料一点没有看。当然在给VO的信里都写得很清楚了，父母都在工作，我有绿卡什么的。
我以前听说有绿卡又是独生子女的很难签，看来也很容易嘛。我还担心因为来读书又转工作签证又拿绿卡会让VO决定我从非移民签证到移民不给过。
父母说3个VO都是年轻男的，有一个窗口据得很多，探亲读书都据，一共只过了一个。他们签的窗口就很轻松，大多是商务的，而且很快。
我准备的材料都是按网上的标准，给VO的信很重要，尽量把所有的优势都不着痕迹的写出来，还有为什么会回来也写上。他看的很仔细。这样问父母的问题也就不多了。
