How should I answer question #14 on DS-157?

Help, please!

PhD in chemistry and MS in biophysics, currently working in a biotech company in US. I'm planning to go back China this summer. Haven't seen my parents for 5 years. Question #14 on DS-157 looks like a killer for me. Should I say yes and try to explain? If I say no, is it lieing? I've never worked on anything other than biosafety level one.

Does anyone have similar background and got H1B visa at the US embassy in Beijing without being checked? I've booked the tickets, not open dated. Feel really desperate here.
