父母在湖北农村，无房产证，工资单，退休金等等...第一次到北京。
我尽量准备我这边的材料，主要是给签证官的信，仔细运量。LP说是：声情并茂，有理有据。大意是：1.父母恩重如山，年岁渐高，但难离故土。我现有房有车，希望接父母来美
看看。 2.父母不知ABC何物，国内亲朋好友都在身旁，绝无赖在这里不走的道理，签证官您就放120个心好了。
我叮嘱父母：
1．见签证官的时候，首先递交护照， 确认页， 和签证收据
2. 不管他要不要, 递交其他所有文件（我做了分类)。
3. 如实回答问题，如果没有听清问题，可以要求他再问一遍。如果不知道怎么回答， 就把所有材料都递交给他。
父母提前3天到，游览了祖国首都美景，我提前安慰他们：如果签不过，就算是北京旅游一趟，其中一个景点是米国大使馆， 呵呵。
准备了一下问题， 好像只 问了其中一两个，就给签了！
问：你们去美国干什么？
答：我们想去看看儿子一家人，也想在这个暑假期间去看看美国。
问：你儿子去了美国多久？
答：...
问：你儿子的生日是什么时候 (几时出生的)？
...
问：儿子是做什么的， 什么时候毕业的？
...
问：儿子有孩子吗？（还会要小孩吗？）
答： ...
问：以前去过美国么？你们准备去多久？
答：没有去过。我们计划是六月份去美国， 玩三个月。也有可能呆六个月，过了圣诞节后回来。
问：你们两个都退休了吗？
答：是，我们在农村生活，不过早就不怎么做体力活了。...
问：有没有照片？
答： 有的。...

Dear Sir/Madam,
I, my wife and two daughters would like to invite my parents to visit us this summer and spend some family vacation time together (see Vacation Plan). I am writing this letter to show my appreciation to your valuable time and try to clarify some of the concerns you might have.
First, we have a big and close family in China. I have two older brothers and a younger sister. My parents right now are living with my second older brother who works at a university with decent incomes. My parents have many close relatives and friends in short distance. My parents-in-law visited us and returned on time when I was working on my PhD at XXX University in 2007. I promise that my parents will return on time as well. All the visiting parents I knew returned to their home country on time, as senior people love to stay in their hometown and most of them do not speak English at all.
Second, I have so much to be thankful for my parents. My family has been living in a small and beautiful village for centuries. Life was hard until recent decades. My parents told me when I was a small child: “Work hard at school and learn whatever you can. Education is the Only Way to Change Your Fate!” I hope I did not disappoint them. I became the only student from my high school class to go to college, and the only one from my college class to graduate school, and when I applied for schools in the U.S., I got five full-ride scholarships. None of these could be achieved without my parents’ love, encouragements and high expectations.
From the first day I came to the U.S., I have been thinking about inviting my parents to tour this country. My parents have been taken care of my busy brothers’ babies for the past several years. Now they all big enough for school, my parents finally agree to do a journey to the U.S.
I would greatly appreciate your favorable considerations to my parent’s visa application. Best wishes to you and your family!
