Called yesterday and was told only 9/29 available, would not give me any Oct date. Wasted 4 mins.

Called today, same answer. Because I learned from this board that there was Oct made successfully, I told them one of my friends just got Oct date. They said they would "refresh" the screen. 10/15 suddenly available 7:30am. Half way through, then I was told I need to provide citizen ID number for my mum. Faint... wasted another 5min.

Immediately called my mum in China and got her citizen ID number. Just called again. Oct is available without asking. 10/14 11;30am. Used up almost full 12 mins.

Need to be persistent. If they are willing to "refresh" screen, you should be able to get more options.
