My parents went to Chengdu for their first visa interview, but were rejected.
Five questions were asked:
VO: Why do you want to go to US?
Parents: To attend my daughter's graduation ceremony.
VO: Have you been to US before?
Parents: No
VO: when will you go to US?
Parents: Next March
VO: How many kids do you have?
Parents: 3
VO: Show me your house title.
Parents: sumbit one
Then VO rejected their application.
Comments: my parents gave very short answers to each questions, and they did not have a chance to show all the supporting documents including pictures and bank statements. Though they sumbit the invitation letters along with their D156/7 forms, VO didn't care having a look.
My parents told me that it seemed that all the parents were rejected yesterday.

when is your last time going back to China? That is a big factor.
Also I think your parents apply the visa a little bit too early
I went back to China last november and stayed for almost 40 days.
My parents told me that it was difficult for parents to get their applications approved if they applied together. I don't know whether that is a factor too.
But you may be right. My graduation ceremony is held next May. The reason I want them to apply right now is because of the weather. It is too cold for them to travel all the way to Chengdu in Dec, Jan, and Feb, and I want them to come here in March.
What I plan to do is to let them apply separately next March, and let them come here in May instead.
拒签的VO是山羊胡子吗?不是说山羊胡子已经不在成都了吗?能描述下VO吗?
